Our Story
Two Single Mother’s- Business Owners
As an only parent, the financial pressure around the holidays can weigh extremely heavy on moms who are expected to create magical holiday experiences for their families; a challenge that both Angelyn and LaSheree faced at the time, which birthed The Tree Sleighers.
November 2018, while the two sister-friends set up camp in LaSheree’s living room pondering on ways to generate some extra income for the holidays for their son’s Dujuan and Cordell. The two discovered the love they both shared of decorating for their favorite holiday and most wonderful time of the year- Christmas!
Angelyn and LaSheree’s creativity and eye for design led them to what turned out to be a business accidentally- designing, creating and executing in-home residential and commercial holiday decor.
After achieving a rapid growth in business, the two designed hundreds of the most exquisite Christmas trees. Together their meticulous eye for detail is what exceeds their clients expectations. Their clients love and appreciate their designs so much, some keep them up all year long!
The Tree Sleighers take pride in giving each project the personalized attention it deserves while cultivating their work to the highest standards of style. They work closely with their clients to understand their vision, dreams and concerns.

We are thankful for each and every client, the relationships on this journey, and the opportunity to continue to bring joy into family homes through the holiday.

The Unexpected Year
November 2022, Angelyn received some life-altering news. Unexpectedly, she was diagnosed with stage III sarcoma cancer of the leg.
Throughout this entire journey; she was yet still, strong and courageous.
The final fight was promptly 6months after the diagnosis.
May 2023- with deep sorrow Angelyn made her transition from labor to reward
Angelyn leaves behind a legacy that will long-serve to inspire and empower others to unapologetically show up and show out!
Her life’s work and legacy are inextricably intertwined with the designs of The Tree Sleighers and for that we are forever grateful.
Angelyn’s memory will forever be endeared by her son Dujuan.

They say when you find a sister who is not blood, hold on to her. Angelyn, you were a once in a lifetime person. Our connection was unexplainable. Our distinctive similarities would scare the both of us at times. I mean we would literally finish each other's sentences. We'll always fight but we'll always make up as well. That's what sisters do, right! We argue, we have fall outs, we point out each other's mistakes but it was our ability to forgive, overcome and move on that made us family. Angelyn, my friend, my sister, my business partner, my rock- you played an integral part in my life and living life without you is going to be very hard for me to bear but all I can hear is your angelic voice saying, "Sister, pull it together." Although it's been hard for me to process the inevitable and mourning you will never end, you've left me with an obligation and I promise to carry on what we've started. So sleep well sister, I'll take it from here. Your presence and love will forever be with me.
